Senior Project Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced  Senior Project Manager  to join our expanding team in Greenwood Village, CO. This is a permanent position in which you’ll enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package (medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), etc.), a casual work environment, and flexible hours.  Job Duties and Responsibilities 

Typical duties/responsibilities include:  

  • We are seeking a Senior Project Manager which will include project management and client interface responsibilities. Typical duties/responsibilities include:
  • Project management of Immunization Information System deployments to new customers and large-scale enhancement efforts of modules and features, ensuring that projects complete on time within budget.
  • Track project progress using Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio and other tools
  • Work with customers and/or other team members to complete technical project management tasks
  • Manage customer project expectations and interface as needed with customer’s Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) oversight services
  • Produce customer consumable project management deliverables
  • Develop and maintain a detailed Project Management Plan that complies with the standards and practices set forth in the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®). At a minimum, the Project Management Plan shall include the following components:
    • Project Background and Objectives
    • Project Deliverables and Milestones
    • Project Staffing Plan and Team Structure
    • Scope Management Plan
    • Schedule Management Plan
    • Requirements Management Plan
    • Change Management Plan
    • Risk and Issue Management Plan
    • Quality Management Plan
    • Communications Management Plan
    • Organizational Change Management Plan
  • Produce and maintain a detailed Project Schedule in Microsoft (MS) Project including a Gantt chart, based on project deliverables and milestones
    • The plan shall include tasks, dependencies between tasks, start and completion dates for each task, associated resources, and project milestones
    • The plan shall include both high-level (rolled up) and detailed tasks to lead to project completion (i.e., a work breakdown structure or WBS)
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings, project status meetings, and project closure meetings with customers remotely leveraging either Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or GoToMeeting webinars, take minutes, and distribute copies via email after each meeting
  • Create and deliver written status reports per agreed-to schedule with the customer
  • Monitor project risks, issues, and change requests and maintain up-to-date logs for each project.
  • Ensure that the project management plan and project schedule is kept current and report any missed milestones

 Required and Preferred Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience in a software project management role
  • 10+ years of experience leveraging Agile (SCRUM) methodologies and processes
  • 10+ years’ experience using Microsoft tools for project management and requirements gathering (Word, TFS, Visio, MS Project, Excel, etc.)
  • One or more PMI certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, MPM, CPM, etc.)

 Required Education 

  • B.S. degree or higher 

Required Background and Traits 

  • Self-starter willing to work in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision  
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external audiences  
  • Ability to handle multiple aspects of the position simultaneously and switch between Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Project Management and Product Management functions  
  • Ability to produce high quality work in a timely fashion   
  • Ability to quickly understand the existing systems and analyze the system impact of changes  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills  
  • Self-motivated to learn and keep up with the latest technologies, tools, and industry trends  


  • Salary Range: $120,000 – $150,000. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and qualifications.
