HL7 IMMUNIZATION INTERFACE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT
We are currently seeking an HL7 Immunization Interface Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our immunization information system software products to join our expanding team in Greenwood Village, CO. The ideal candidate has the necessary help desk background, a desire to help the world be a healthier place to live in, basic office and database skills, and a keen interest in public health technology. This position reports to: Vice President of Client Services
Job Duties and Responsibilities
This is a hands-on position. Typical duties/responsibilities include:
- Work with customers and/or other team members to resolve HL7 (Health Language 7) immunization interface issues and to provide advice to our customers on leveraging our HL7 software
- Provide technical assistance to end users, including how to onboard HL7 immunization interfaces using web service SOAP as the transport method, correct formatting of HL7 immunization messages, use of HL7 code sets, and HL7 code set management within our software
- Respond to complex HL7 requests and questions that require a deep level of analysis or investigation
- Proactively communicate known HL7 issues, workarounds, and timeline for resolution to all customers
- Create HL7 interface FAQs and other HL7 end user documentation
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- HL7 Immunization Interface experience (REQUIRED)
- Customer Service, Listening, Phone and Email Skills: Leveraging email and phone to resolve HL7 problems by clarifying the customer’s issues
- Product & HL7 Knowledge, Problem Solving, and Technical Savvy: Reproducing HL7 problems in our software to determine the cause of the problem
- Resolving Conflict: Selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the HL7 problem
- Documentation Skills: Documenting and following up to ensure HL7 issue resolution
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Public Health or Healthcare related field
Preference will be given to Candidates with:
- HL7 immunization interface knowledge and experience
- Immunization Information Systems for Public Health Registries
- CDC programs and initiatives: VTrckS, VFC, CDSi, AFIX
- American Immunization Registry Association HL7 and MIROW best practices

- Salary Range: $80,000 to $140,000. Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience and qualifications.
